WPW10448876 Whirlpool Pressure Switch
This Washer Water-Level Pressure Switch senses and controls the water level in the washer. As the water runs through the hose while the washer tub is filling, it will push air against a diaphragm inside the switch. As more water enters the tub, more pressure is applied against the switch. You'll have to remove the control panel of your washer to gain access to this part. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this item. Also be sure to turn off the hot and cold water supplies to your washer. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
