The following parts are replaced by this product

1. Unplug the dishwasher from its power source.
2. Remove the lower rack and the dishwasher access panel, which is usually located at the bottom of the dishwasher.
3. Locate the float assembly which is typically a cylindrical component with two wires connected to it.
4. Disconnect the wires attached to the float by squeezing the wires together and pulling them away from the float.
5. Remove the mounting screw that holds the float in place and pull the float out of the dishwasher.
6. Insert the new float into the dishwasher and secure it in place with the mounting screw.
7. Reconnect the wires to the float, by pushing them against the terminals on the float.
8. Replace the access panel and the dishwasher lower rack.
9. Plug the power back in and test the dishwasher for proper operation.
