1. Start by turning off the power to your Whirlpool stove, either disconnecting it from the circuit breaker or unplugging it and flipping the switch off.
2. Remove the grates and burner caps from the top of the stove.
3. Place a towel over the electric coils to protect them from any debris or dirt.
4. Unscrew the old burner cap by using a Phillips head screwdriver and gently pushing the old cap out of its place.
5. Take out the new burner cap and insert it in place of the old one. Make sure to align the holes for the electric coils with the new cap.
6. Secure the new cap in place by using the Phillips head screwdriver and tightening the screws until the cap is secure.
7. Replace the grates and burner caps and turn the power on to the stove again.
8. Perform a test run by turning on the power and heating the electric coil. Ensure the coil is working properly and there is no risk of damage or fire hazard when operating the stove.
