WP8182119 Whirlpool Washer Door Boot Bellow

This Front Load Washer Door Boot Seal is a part that safely contains the water in between the tub and the front panel of your dual front-load washer. If your current seal is damaged and leaking water, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Note that overloading the washer is the most common cause for a damaged or torn door boot seal. Clamps are not included and need to be purchased separately. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.

Replacing the WP8182119 Whirlpool Bellow: Step-by-Step DIY Instructions

1. Disconnect power to the range. Make sure all controls are turned off and unplugged from the wall.

2. Use a putty knife or a flat-head screwdriver to pry the top panel away from the rest of the range and set aside.

3. Identify the bellow. It is a flexible tube that protects the gas lines from the oven interior and allows them to be sealed against air leaks.

4. Unhook the clips on either side of the bellow to free it from the range.

5. Pull the bellow away from the range and lay it on a flat surface for disposal.

6. Attach the new bellow. Line up the clips on either side and press down until they are secure.

7. Replace the top panel and reattach any screws that were removed.

8. Reconnect the power to the range and test the oven.

Congratulations, you have successfully replaced the WP8182119 Whirlpool Bellow!

Please keep in mind, these instructions are for general guidance and should always be used in conjunction with the manufacturer's manual, if available.
