WP74011579 Whirlpool Control Knob
The Electric Range Surface Burner Control Knob allows you to adjust the heating level of your cooktop surface burner. This knob is stainless steel and measures approximately 2" D. The part is labeled with the descriptive words "Ultra High" and “Ultra Low," as well as heat levels from 1 to 9. Remove the old knob by pulling it straight off its post. 1. Turn off the power to the appliance by unplugging it from the wall outlet.
2. Locate the WP74011579 Whirlpool Control Knob on the appliance and remove it from the appliance.
3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the mounting screws on the base of the control knob.
4. Install the replacement WP74011579 Whirlpool Control Knob by aligning it to the shaft of the motor.
5. Secure the control knob in place by using the Phillips head screwdriver to firmly tighten the mounting screws.
6. Plug the appliance back into the wall outlet to turn the power back on.
7. Test the operation of the replacement WP74011579 Whirlpool Control Knob to make sure it works properly.
