WP3412D024-26 Whirlpool Oven Surface Burner Head
This Range Sealed Gas Burner Head Assembly directs your oven's gas to the burner head. If the ceramic is cracked on your range or if the burner no longer ignites, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. To install the new part, remove the old burner assembly by turning it counter clockwise by hand. If you are unable to loosen the old burner by hand, using a strap wrench may help. When you remove the ground and the spark wires from the old burner head, make sure they don't fall back into the range top. Turn the new burner head clockwise to lock when replacing. Replacing this part will require no disassembly or repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing. Also turn off the gas supply that's connected to your range.

Replacing the Whirlpool WP3412D024-26 Surface Burner Head
Tools needed:
* Flat-head screwdriver
* Needle-nose pliers
Instructions:
1. Unplug your range from the wall and turn off the breaker to ensure it is off and won’t turn back on.
2. Remove the burner grates from the top of the range by lifting them off their supports.
3. Use a flat-head screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws that hold the burner head in place.
4. Disconnect the wires that connect the burner head to the range by carefully unplugging them.
5. Carefully remove the old burner head by grasping it with needle-nose pliers and pulling it out gently.
6. Install the new Whirlpool WP3412D024-26 burner head into the range, making sure its brackets fit into the slots exactly.
7. Reattach the wires back to the burner head.
8. Secure the burner head in place by re-installing the screws.
9. Replace the burner grates back onto the range and plug it back into the wall.
10. Turn the breaker back on and test the new burner head.
