Replacing the WP3406108 Whirlpool Door Switch
1. Unplug your appliance from the power source to ensure safety during the replacement process.
2. Lift up and remove the top of your dryer to expose the inside.
3. Remove the screws that secure the back panel to the frame of the dryer.
4. Carefully remove the back panel and set aside.
5. Locate the old door switch at the top right of the opening on the front of the dryer.
6. Using a screwdriver, remove the two screws that secure the door switch to the dryer cabinet.
7. Carefully pull the door switch away from the cabinet.
8. Disconnect the two wiring harnesses from the rear of the door switch.
9. Connect the two wiring harnesses to the new door switch.
10. Secure the new door switch to the dryer cabinet with the two screws.
11. Replace the back panel and secure it to the frame of the dryer with the screws.
12. Lower the top of the dryer and plug the appliance into the power source.
13. Test the operation of the new door switch by opening and closing the door.

13. Test the operation of the new door switch by opening and closing the door.
