DIY: How to Replace the Whirlpool WP12562701 Ice Chute Door
1) Before beginning this DIY project, make sure to turn off the power to your appliance at the circuit breaker.
2) Open the freezer door and remove all items from the ice chute.
3) Disconnect the electrical wires and remove any screws hold the chute door in place.
4) Gently pull the chute away from the door.
5) Remove the plastic button attached to the chute door.
6) Carefully remove the old chute door and discard it.
7) Take a new WP12562701 Whirlpool Ice Chute Door and insert the plastic button into the hole on the door.
8) Slide the new chute door onto the ice chute. Make sure the chute door is securely attached and the plastic button is flush with the chute door.
9) Re-attach the electrical wires and any screws that were removed.
10) Place items back into the ice chute and close the freezer door.
11) Restore the power to the appliance at the circuit breaker and enjoy your new ice chute door!
