Replacing the Whirlpool W11409290 Hinge-Door
1. Begin by unplugging the refrigerator from the power source.
2. Remove all items from the refrigerator door and shelves.
3. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove screws from the interior of the door, starting from the top and working your way down.
4. Carefully lift and remove the door from the hinges, taking care not to damage any of the remaining components.
5. Place the door on a flat surface, such as a table or counter top.
6. Look for the existing hinge-door. This will be a metal piece at the top corner of the door frame.
7. Use a wrench to loosen the set screws on the hinge-door, and then unscrew it completely.
8. Take the new hinge-door and place it into position, making sure it is aligned with the holes in the door frame.
9. Use the wrench to secure the set screws, and then use a drill to secure the set screws further if desired.
10. Reconnect the previous screws on the interior of the door.
11. Lift the door and carefully place it back on the hinges.
12. Tighten the screws on the hinges and then plug the refrigerator back into the power source.
13. You have successfully replaced the Whirlpool W11409290 hinge-door.
