1. Gather the necessary tools for the job. You will need a Phillips screwdriver, a pair of needle nose pliers, and a volt ohm meter.
2. Unplug the appliance and shut off the power to the circuit breaker to ensure that you do not get shocked while performing maintenance.
3. Remove the screws on the back panel using your screwdriver and carefully remove the panel.
4. Locate the old magnetron and use your needle nose pliers to gently tug it out of its bracket.
5. Place the new magnetron in its place and secure it with the screws.
6. Replace the back panel, plug the appliance back in and turn on the power to the circuit breaker.
7. Check the wattage of the magnetron with your volt ohm meter to make sure it is working correctly.
8. Turn on the appliance and check to make sure it is heating as normal.
9. If it does not heat, then you may need to call a professional to help you diagnose the issue.
