W11177741 Whirlpool Dishwasher Door Gasket
The Dishwasher Door Gasket includes a new rubber door gasket that goes around the outer edge of the door to seal it. If your dishwasher leaks water during the cleaning cycle, replacing this rubber seal may alleviate the issue. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the dishwasher's water supply below the sink. Recommended Item: Adhesive (item 4369899): White silicone adhesive caulk for extra seal. Replacing a W11177741 Whirlpool Dishwasher Door Gasket
1. Unplug the Whirlpool dishwasher from the wall outlet, and locate the screws that secure the dishwasher door to the frame.
2. Remove the screws and gently lift the door from its frame to remove it.
3. Inspect the old door gasket for damage. If the gasket is torn or damaged, it should be replaced.
4. Lay the new W11177741 Whirlpool dishwasher door gasket in place of the old one and press the edges firmly into the door frame to secure it.
5. Attach the door back onto the frame, and use the original screws to secure it in place.
6. Plug the dishwasher back into the wall outlet and test its functionality with a cycle.
