W10888592 Whirlpool Dishwasher Rack Roller
This Dishwasher Upper Dishrack Roller Assembly is a replacement part for use on the upper dish rack. The dishrack roller attaches to the dishrack and allows you to roll the dishrack in and out properly. The roller assembly includes an integrated clip-on axle for mounting in light gray. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off your dishwasher's water supply underneath the sink. 1. Start by turning off the power supply to your Whirlpool W10888592 dishwasher. Unplug the appliance or flip the circuit breaker in the main breaker panel.
2. Open the door of your dishwasher and locate the access panel in the bottom of the machine. This panel is typically held in place by 3-4 screws. Remove the screws and set them aside for later.
3. You will now see the drain pump assembly and the motor. Located near the motor is the broken wheel. Carefully remove the wheel and discard it.
4. Insert the replacement wheel into the motor shaft and make sure the wheel is positioned correctly.
5. Reinstall the access panel, screws, and reconnect the power supply.
6. Test the dishwasher to make sure the replacement wheel is working properly.
