W10518394 Whirlpool Dishwasher Heating Element

100% Guaranteed genuine parts logo
This Dishwasher Heating Element heats the water during the dishwashing cycle and helps dry the dishes at the end of the cycle. If the appliance is no longer cleaning or drying your dishes as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. The heating element lives on the underside of the dishwasher, so removing the entire dishwasher from the cabinet is recommended. When installing the element, make sure to use the existing brackets to lift the element up so it is not touching the dishwasher tub. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the water supply under the sink. Helpful Tips: The door springs of the dishwasher may also need to be inspected and replaced during this installation. We also recommend using affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner (item W10282479) to help reduce limescale and mineral build-up that can be unsightly and affect your dishwasher’s performance. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
