To access the part, you'll need to remove the dishwasher completely from the cabinet and lay the appliance on its back. 1. Before beginning the job, shut off the power to the dishwasher and make sure you have the right tools: a flathead screwdriver, a Phillips head screwdriver, and a pair of pliers.
2. Begin by removing the door panel of your dishwasher, located at the front of the appliance. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the door panel in place.
3. Next, locate the W10445975 Whirlpool Dishwasher Wash Pump to Sump Hose. It should be connected to the back of the dishwasher or near the bottom of the sump area. Using the flathead screwdriver and pliers, carefully disconnect the hose from the pump.
4. Once the hose is disconnected, measure the length of the new hose and cut it to size (using the pliers).
5. Attach the new hose to the pump using the two clamps that came with the kit. Make sure the clamps are secure and the connections are tight.
6. Reconnect the hose to the sump area and check for any leaks.
7. Finally, reattach the door panel and restore the power to the dishwasher.
