Replacing the 5303918202 Frigidaire Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat
Before you begin, make sure to unplug your refrigerator to avoid any hazards.
Step 1: Locate the access panel cover at the back of your refrigerator and remove it. This is normally held in place with several screws.
Step 2: Once the cover is removed, locate the defrost thermostat. It will be connected to two wires, so be sure to label them before disconnecting.
Step 3: Disconnect the old thermostat by carefully removing the two wires. Be sure not to damage the wires or let them touch each other.
Step 4: Install the new thermostat by connecting the two wires to their corresponding spots on the unit. Make sure they are securely attached.
Step 5: Replace the access panel cover and secure using the screws you removed earlier.
Step 6: Plug your refrigerator back in and test the unit to make sure everything is working correctly.
