DIY steps to Replace a Frigidaire 242193213 Gasket-Door Ref. 21
1. Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet to disconnect power before proceeding.
2. Remove the shelves and drawers from inside the refrigerator door.
3. Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the screws on the outside of the refrigerator door that secure the old gasket.
4. Carefully pull back the edges of the gasket until the entire gasket is free from the door.
5. Clean around the door opening with a damp cloth or paper towel to make sure there are no shards of old gasket material.
6. Place the new Frigidaire 242193213 Gasket-Door Ref. 21 around the opening of the door, making sure all edges line up properly.
7. Push the edges of the gasket into the door frame to secure it in place.
8. Replace the screws around the edge of the door to secure the new gasket.
9. Reinstall the shelves and drawers in the refrigerator door.
10. Plug the refrigerator back in to restore power.
