WPW10661045 Whirlpool Washer Water Drain Pump
The Top Load Washer Drain Pump removes waste water from the washer during the drain portion of the cycle. If your washer is no longer draining properly, you may need to replace this part. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supply. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.

DIY Replacement of Whirlpool WPW10661045 Pump-Water
1. Unplug the washing machine from its power source and shut off the water supply that leads to the machine.
2. Place a bucket underneath the machine to catch any water that may spill out.
3. Unscrew the screws on either side of the lower access panel. Then, remove the panel and put it aside.
4. Locate the pump-water and disconnect the two hoses connected to it.
5. Unscrew the clamps or screws that secure the pump-water in place.
6. Remove the pump-water and set it aside.
7. Take the new replacement pump-water, connect the two hoses securely to it and secure it in place with screws or clamps.
8. Re-attach the lower access panel, making sure that all the screws are tightened and secure.
9. Turn on the water supply and plug the power cord back into the machine.
10. Test the operation of the machine to ensure that the new pump-water is working correctly.
