Replacing the Whirlpool WPW10547292 PULLEY-IDR KIT
DIY Instructions
1. Start by unplugging the power supply from your Whirlpool dryer. This will ensure your safety as you replace the pulley-idr kit.
2. Remove the lint filter and then remove the front panel of the dryer. Use a Philips head screwdriver to remove the screws located on the top edge of the front panel.
3. Once the front panel is removed, locate the belt tensioner pulley. It is the pulley that is located to the left of the motor, just below the belt.
4. Use a socket wrench with an extension to loosen the belt tensioner pulley bolt.
5. Once the bolt is loosened, you can then remove the existing pulley.
6. Take the new pulley-idr kit and slide it onto the belt tensioner. Make sure to align the grooves correctly so that the kit fits snugly.
7. Re-tighten the bolt and make sure it is secure.
8. Reinstall the front panel of the dryer and make sure all the screws are tightened.
9. Plug the power supply back in and your Whirlpool dryer is ready to go.
