This Dishwasher Dishrack Adjuster Arm raises or lowers the top rack of the dishwasher to accommodate taller dishware. If the existing adjust arm inside your appliance is no longer functioning as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. To install, disassemble the current adjuster and use existing parts. (parts list should list any additional parts needed). Replacing this part will require no disassembly or repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing. DIY Guide to Replacing the WPW10546503 Whirlpool Dishwasher Upper Rack Adjuster
Tools and Materials Needed
• Replacement WPW10546503 upper rack adjuster
• Phillips head screw driver
• Adjustable wrench
Instructions
1. Unplug the dishwasher power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Open the door of the dishwasher and carefully remove any dishes or utensils that may be present in the dishwasher's upper rack.
3. Remove the screws that secure the adjuster wheel to the upper rack. These screws are typically located on either side of the wheel, under the rack.
4. Disconnect the wheel from the upper rack and remove it from the dishwasher.
5. Install the replacement adjuster wheel to the upper rack by connecting it to the mounting holes. Secure the wheel with the screws.
6. Reconnect the dishwasher power cord to the wall outlet and turn on the dishwasher.
7. Test the wheel for movement, ensuring it properly adjusts the upper rack.
