This SxS Refrigerator LED Light Assembly illuminates the interior of the appliance. If the light in your refrigerator is blinking, seems dim or not working at all, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. This light assembly can be used in either the fresh food compartment or the freezer side of the appliance. Replacing this part will require no disassembly or repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing.

1. Unplug your refrigerator before beginning any maintenance tasks.
2. Navigate to the back of the refrigerator and locate the LED light module – it will be located at the top-rear of the refrigerator compartment and you may need to pull the refrigerator away from the wall to access it.
3. Carefully remove the screws securing the light module to the refrigerator’s steel chassis.
4. Once the screws have been removed, gently lift up on the module to get access to the rear of the unit. Once exposed, you will see two white plastic tabs securing the light into its housing.
5. Carefully press down on the tabs with a flat head screwdriver to release them from the unit.
6. With the tabs released, gently remove the LED light and dispose of it in the appropriate landfill-safe container.
7. Insert the new LED light into the housing, making sure it is fully seated and securely fastened in place.
8. Reinstall the two white plastic tabs to hold the new LED in place.
9. Gently push down on the light module and secure it back into place with the screws that were removed at the beginning.
10. Plug your refrigerator back in and switch it on. Test the new LED bulb to ensure it is working properly.
