Replacing the WPW10470155 Whirlpool Refrigerator Door Closing Cam
Step 1: Unplug the refrigerator from the wall power outlet.
Step 2: Open the refrigerator door and remove all items from the shelves.
Step 3: Remove the top hinge covers from the refrigerator door and unscrew the screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
Step 4: Pull the cover off and use a 10mm socket to remove the mounting nut and the cam piece.
Step 5: Take the new cam insert and mount it on the upper door hinge. Make sure to not over-tighten the bolt or it will damage the cam.
Step 6: Place the top hinge cover back onto the refrigerator door and secure it with the screws.
Step 7: Close the refrigerator door and plug the refrigerator back into the wall power outlet.
