Replacing the Whirlpool WPW10375379 LATCH
DIY Instructions
1. Disconnect power to the appliance by unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker.
2. Open the dishwasher door, insert a flathead screwdriver into the center of the latch and press down firmly on the top of the screwdriver handle if your dishwasher latch is fastened to the top of the door. If your latch is fastened to the side of the door, insert the screwdriver at the bottom of the latch and press down on the top of the handle.
3. Pry the latch away from the dishwasher door until the latch comes away from the door.
4. Unscrew any remaining screws that are securing the latch to the dishwasher door.
5. Carefully remove the old latch from the door.
6. Take the new latch and carefully attach it to the dishwasher door, making sure all screws are tightened securely.
7. Plug the power back in and turn on the circuit breaker.
8. Test the latch to make sure it is working properly.
