This Dishwasher Upper Dishrack Wheel Assembly is what supports the upper dishrack and allows it to roll in and out properly. This is a replacement part for one wheel assembly. 1. To replace the WPW10350401 Whirlpool Upper Rack Roller, unplug the dishwasher and locate the broken part. You'll need to access the dishwasher door and remove the screws near the top of the dishwasher wall.
2. Carefully lift the upper rack off the dishwasher drawer glides and place it on the countertop. Now you should be able to see and access the broken roller axle.
3. Remove the broken WPW10350401 in the same way you would a regular caster wheel. Unscrew the securing screw and slide the roller off the axle.
4. Take the new part and slide it onto the axle, making sure to line up the mounting holes with the screw holes. Secure the roller in place with the screw that you removed before.
5. Test the roller to make sure it spins correctly and replace the upper rack into the dishwasher. Plug the dishwasher back in and check that the new roller is installed correctly.
By following these simple steps, you are now one step closer to having a working dishwasher!
