Tools and Materials Needed:
-Phillips head screwdriver
-Torx screwdriver
-Replacement gasket WP9709511

-Slip joint pliers
Step 1: Unplug the washer’s power cord from the power outlet. Take off the back panel of the washer by loosening the screws located at the bottom with the Phillips head screwdriver.
Step 2: Loosen the four Torx screws on top of the transmission cover with a Torx screwdriver and carefully remove the cover.
Step 3: Unscrew the two bolts attached to the base of the transmission with a socket set. Carefully tilt the transmission away from the housing to remove it.
Step 4: Disconnect the wiring harness connected to the bottom of the transmission. Once disconnected, slide the old gasket off and discard it.

Step 6: Secure the new gasket to the transmission using the slip-joint pliers.
Step 7: Reconnect the wiring harness and carefully place the transmission into the housing, making sure that the gasket lines up properly.
Step 8: Reinstall the four Torx screws and tighten them securely to hold the transmission in place.
Step 9: Reattach the back panel of the washer and tighten the screws securely.
Step 10: Plug the washer back into the power outlet and test the washer to make sure it is working properly.
