Step 1: Unplug the Dishwasher
Safety is a priority when attempting any DIY project, so turn off and unplug the Whirlpool dishwasher before starting repairs.
Step 2: Open the Door
Open the dishwasher door, then remove the screws around the bottom edge of the filter cover plate.
Step 3: Remove the Tray-Drip
Remove the cover plate and the tray-drip from the bottom of the dishwasher.
Step 4: Place the New Tray-Drip
Place the new tray-drip in the bottom of the dishwasher.
Step 5: Secure the Tray-Drip
Secure the new tray-drip with the screws you removed from the filter cover plate.
Step 6: Plug in the Dishwasher
Once the tray-drip has been securely replaced, plug the dishwasher back in and turn it on to make sure it functions properly.
