W11259785 Whirlpool Dishwasher Upper Dishrack Slide Track Left Side
The Dishwasher Upper Track supports the left side of the upper dishrack assembly and helps it easily move in and out of the dishwasher. Please note that this part is sold separately. If your appliance's upper rack isn't moving in and out of the appliance as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Recommended Item: Dishwasher Upper Track, Right Side (W11259786) is sold separately and may also be needed during this repair. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also be sure to turn off the water supply to your dishwasher before you begin. Replacing the W11259785 Whirlpool Dishwasher Upper Dishrack Slide Track, Left Side
1. Unplug the dishwasher from the power source.
2. Open the dishwasher door and remove the top two rack sections.
3. Remove the plastic caps on the end of each slide track. These are located at the top of the dishwasher.
4. Remove the screws that connect the old slide track to the dishwasher frame.
5. Lift the old slide track up and out.
6. Install the new slide track by lining up the holes in the slide track with the corresponding holes in the dishwasher frame.
7. Secure the slide track in place with the screws you removed in step 4.
8. Reattach the plastic caps to each end of the slide track.
9. Replace the top two rack sections.
10. Plug the dishwasher back in and test it for proper operation.
