Step 1: Unplug the dryer from the wall outlet.
Step 2: Remove the top panel of the dryer and locate the interlock switch.
Step 3: Locate the two wires that are connected to the interlock switch. Disconnect them by pulling them straight out.
Step 4: Remove the screws that hold the interlock switch in place and gently pull the switch out.
Step 5: Install the new Whirlpool W11182141 Interlock Switch by inserting the two wires into the appropriate terminals. Secure the switch with the screws.
Step 6: Replace the top panel and plug the dryer back into the wall outlet.
Step 7: Test the dryer to make sure it is working properly.
