W11084121 Whirlpool Turbidity Sensor
This Dishwasher Turbidity Sensor is used to detect water clarity inside the appliance. This part measures sediment content in the water and adjusts the dishwasher's cycle time and functions accordingly for optimal cleaning. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also be sure to turn off the water supply to your dishwasher before you. 1. Gather the necessary materials for replacing the Whirlpool W11084121 Sensor in your washing machine including a Phillips screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver, pliers and a new sensor.
2. Disconnect the power to the washing machine.
3. Locate the control panel on the back of the machine, then remove the 4 screws on the sides with a Phillips screwdriver.
4. Open the control panel and locate the defective sensor.
5. Use pliers to disconnect the wire harness from the old sensor then discard it.
6. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the two mounting screws that hold the sensor in place.
7. Insert the new sensor into its slot then secure it in place with the mounting screws.
8. Connect the new sensor’s wire harness to the control panel.
9. Close the control panel and secure the 4 screws.
10. Check the connections and verify that the new sensor is working properly.
11. Reconnect the power to the washing machine.
