This Dishwasher Touchpad and Control Panel houses the selection buttons and display for the dishwasher. The functions controlled by this panel include cycle intensity, drying options and the delayed start feature. This part is white in color and specifically designed to be used with white dishwasher models. You may need to replace this panel if the current display on your appliance isn’t responding properly or the buttons are broken and no longer functional. Step 1: Unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply to the washing machine.
Step 2: Remove the old control panel by removing the screws that hold it in place.
Step 3: Carefully disconnect the wires from the old control panel, noting the colors and locations of each wire connection.
Step 4: Clean the area around the opening for the control panel with a damp cloth.
Step 5: Place the W10811166 Whirlpool Control Panel into the opening and secure it with the screws you removed in Step 2.
Step 6: Reconnect the wires from the old control panel to the new control panel, noting the colors and locations of each wire connection.
Step 7: Securely tighten the screws on the back of the control panel.
Step 8: Turn the power and water back on and test the new control panel.
