W10599356 Whirlpool Water Inlet Valve
This Washer Water Inlet Valve controls the water flow into the washer. If your washer isn’t getting any hot or cold water, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Step 1: Prepare for the Replacement
-If possible, unplug the appliance and shut off the power to the valve.
-Gather the tools and materials you will need for the job, such as a new Whirlpool W10599356 VALVE, a screwdriver, pliers, and some cam grease.
-Look for any corrosion or debris that may be around the valve before you remove it.
Step 2: Removing the Old Whirlpool W10599356 Valve
-Unscrew the mounting screws from the valve body and gently set aside.
-Carefully pull out the wires from the valve.
-Remove the inlet and outlet hoses from the valve.
-Take out the old valve body, being careful not to damage the O-rings.
Step 3: Installing the New Whirlpool Valve
-Slide the new Whirlpool W10599356 valve into the base.
-Secure it with the mounting screws.
-Grease the O-rings to improve the seal.
-Reattach the inlet and outlet hoses.
-Connect the wires to their respective terminals.
Step 4: Testing the New Valve
-Turn the power back on to the valve and test the installation by opening and closing the valve several times.
-Make sure there are no leaks and the valve is operating properly.
Step 5: Finishing the Job
-If everything checks out, put all the components back together and turn on the power to the appliance.
