1. First, turn off the water supply to the refrigerator. You can do this by turning off the shutoff valve located behind the refrigerator.
2. Unplug the refrigerator and remove any shelves or drawers that are blocking access to the valve.
3. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws that are holding the valve in place. Remove the old valve.
4. Take the new Whirlpool 74010756 valve and line up the holes on the valve with the holes in the refrigerator's frame.
5. Insert the screws and tighten with the screwdriver until the valve is firmly secured.
6. Turn the water back on and check for any leaks.
7. Plug in the refrigerator and test the new valve by turning it on and off several times.
8. Replace all of the shelves and drawers in the refrigerator and enjoy your newly repaired appliance.
