DIY Instructions for Replacing the Whirlpool 12500060 KNOB KIT-81,83 (5)
1. Unplug your appliance from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the screws on the back of the control panel.
3. Carefully remove the control panel and set aside.
4. Look closely at the existing knob and take note of how it is attached to the control panel.
5. Unscrew the existing knob by rotating counter-clockwise.
6. Place the new Whirlpool 12500060 KNOB KIT-81,83 into position and align the screw opening with the shaft on the control panel.
7. Secure the new knob in place by tightening the screw in a clockwise direction.
8. Replace the control panel and secure the screws at the back.
9. Plug your appliance back into the electrical outlet.
10. Test your work by turning the new knob to ensure it operates as expected.
