1. Start by unplugging your washing machine and turning off the water supply.
2. Place a bucket under the drain hose and then disconnect it from the standpipe.
3. Use a screwdriver to remove the front panel of the washer and disconnect the wire harness from the motor control board.
4. Remove the screws from the back panel and remove the panel to access the tub bearing.
5. Using an adjustable wrench or pliers, remove the retaining ring and remove the old bearing.
6. Take the new bearing and apply a thin layer of non-detergent soap to the shaft, then slide the bearing over the shaft.
7. Reinstall the retaining ring and securely tighten it with the wrench or pliers.
8. Reattach the back panel to the washer, reconnect the wire harness, and then replace the front panel.
9. Put the drain hose back in place and reconnect it to the standpipe.
10. Turn the water supply back on and plug in the washer. Finally, test the washer to make sure the new bearing is working properly.
