DIY Instructions for Replacing the WPW10609579 Whirlpool Dishwasher Rack Adjuster, Left Side
1. Open the dishwasher door and locate the rack adjuster on the left side of the dishwasher.
2. Remove one plastic trim fastener located at the lower corner of the rack adjuster using a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Lift up the rack adjuster from the lower side and pull it away from its mounting clips.
4. Unscrew the two bolts that attach the rack adjuster to the dishwasher’s frame.
5. Remove the old rack adjuster.
6. Install the new rack adjuster in the reverse order.
7. Using a Phillips screwdriver, secure the plastic trim fastener in place.
8. Run a test cycle to check if the dishwasher is functioning properly.
