DIY Replacing the WPW10609578 Whirlpool Adjuster
1. Unplug your Whirlpool appliance and turn off the water supply to avoid any potential electric shock.
2. Remove the upper dishrack from the dishwasher before accessing the adjuster.
3. Locate the access panel at the bottom of the dishwasher with a Phillips head screwdriver.
4. Unscrew the access panel and lift it off the machine to access the adjuster.
5. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the old adjuster and remove it from the machine.
6. Place the new WPW10609578 adjuster in the machine, reconnect the electrical wiring and secure it with screws.
7. Reinstall the access panel and make sure the screws are tight.
8. Check the new adjuster for proper operation before putting dishrack back into place.
9. Turn on the water supply and plug in your Whirlpool appliance to complete the installation of the new WPW10609578 Adjuster.
