WPW10545255 Whirlpool Thermal Fuse
This Wall Oven Thermal Fuse protects the appliance's controls from damage in the event of a power surge or overheating. This fuse trips when the controls are not working properly, or if the range gets too hot. Note that a multimeter can be used to test the current fuse for continuity before you replace the part. Installing the fuse will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the range and novice repair experience. You must unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.

1. Begin by unplugging the appliance from its power source.
2. Next, use a screwdriver to remove the back panel of the appliance in order to access the thermal fuse.
3. Once the panel has been removed, locate and identify the thermal fuse, WPW10545255.
4. Using a socket wrench, remove the two screws that are holding the thermal fuse in place.
5. Carefully unhook the wires connected to the thermal fuse and set aside.
6. Take the new thermal fuse, also known as WPW10545255, and attach the wires to it in the same manner as before.
7. Finally, secure the new thermal fuse with the two screws you removed earlier and replace the back panel.
8. Plug the appliance back in to its power source and test it out.
