WPW10488048 Whirlpool Strike
The Washer Door Strike attaches to the latch assembly and helps communicate to the appliance that the door is closed and can begin operation. If your washer’s door doesn’t close properly, or if the mounting tabs of the part are visibly broken, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Installing the new door strike will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. How to Replace the Whirlpool WPW10488048 Strike
Replacing the strike on your Whirlpool range can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. With just some basic tools and a few minutes of time, you can get your range back in working order in no time. Here are the steps for replacing the Whirlpool WPW10488048 strike.
1. Unplug the power cord of your range from the electrical outlet.
2. Locate the screws that secure the access panel to the rear of the range and remove them with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
