Step 1: Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
Step 2: Locate the pump & motor on the back of the washing machine.
Step 3: Unscrew the hose clamps with a screwdriver and separate the hoses from the motor.
Step 4: Remove the screws that are securing the motor and the pump to the frame of the appliance using the appropriate screwdriver.
Step 5: Carefully lift the old motor and pump assembly from the washer.
Step 6: Place the new Whirlpool WPW10455261 PUMP&MOTOR in the same spot where the old one was located and secure it with the screws.
Step 7: Put the hose clamps back in place and reconnect the hoses.
Step 8: Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet.
Step 9: Test out the new pump & motor to make sure it is working correctly.
