1. Unplug the power source from the Whirlpool appliance before beginning the replacement process.
2. Remove the cabinet panel from the side of the appliance in order to access the Whirlpool WPW10446920 SWITCH-PTS.
3. Locate the three wires connected to the Whirlpool WPW10446920 SWITCH-PTS. Disconnect these three wires and remove them from the switch.
4. Remove the defective switch by loosening and removing the screws that connect it to the appliance frame.
5. Install the new Whirlpool WPW10446920 SWITCH-PTS. Connect the three wires to the proper terminals. Tighten screws to secure the switch in place.
6. Re-attach the cabinet panel and plug the power source back into the appliance.
7. Test the Whirlpool WPW10446920 SWITCH-PTS to ensure it is functioning properly.
