DIY Guide to Replacing the Whirlpool WP74002328 SWITCH-INDICATOR
Tools Needed:
-Flathead screwdriver
-Phillips head screwdriver
-Needle nose pliers
-Voltage tester
1. Unplug the appliance from the power supply and turn off the breaker.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the screws securing the top panel of the appliance and carefully lift it off.
3. Locate the Whirlpool WP74002328 SWITCH-INDICATOR and note its position in the appliance.
4. Use a voltage tester to ensure that there is no electricity running through the appliance.
5. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws securing the switch-indicator.
6. Carefully disconnect the wiring attached to the old switch-indicator.
7. Take the needle nose pliers to gently remove the old switch-indicator.
8. Insert the new Whirlpool WP74002328 SWITCH-INDICATOR and use the needle nose pliers to secure it in place.
9. Reconnect the wiring to the switch-indicator.
10. Replace the screws to secure the switch-indicator into place.
11. Test the new switch-indicator to make sure it is working properly.
12. Plug the appliance back in to the power supply and restore the breaker.
13. Replace the top panel and the screws to secure it in place.
14. Test the appliance to make sure everything is working properly.
