Step 1: Unplug your dishwasher or switch off power at the breaker box.
Step 2: Disconnect the water supply line from the machine.
Step 3: Open the dishwasher door and remove the two screws that hold the access panel in place.
Step 4: Remove the access panel and then find the gearcase located in back of the dishwasher.
Step 5: Remove the screws holding the cover plate for the gearcase in place and then remove the plate.
Step 6: Unscrew the mounting bolts that attach the gearcase to the dishwasher and then gently pull it away from the dishwasher.
Step 7: Replace the gearcase with the new W11393685 gearcase. Make sure to apply a threadlocker to the mounting bolts before tightening them.
Step 8: Reassemble the dishwasher by reversing the steps above.
Step 9: Turn on the water supply and then plug in or turn on the power to the dishwasher.
Step 10: Run the dishwasher cycle to make sure everything is working properly.
