1. Unplug the power cord from your Whirlpool appliance before beginning any repairs.
2. Locate the screw that is securing the knob to the control panel on the appliance.
3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the screw and remove the knob.
4. Place the new knob into position and secure it with the Phillips head screwdriver.
5. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the appliance to test the new knob.
6. Clean the area around the knob with a damp cloth to maintain its appearance.
