Replacing the Whirlpool W11126051 ORIFICE HOSE can be a simple DIY project. Follow these steps to get the job done:
Step 1: Unplug the dryer cord from the wall outlet and turn off the breaker to the dryer if applicable.
Step 2: Pull the dryer away from the wall, remove the back panel, and locate the orifice hose.
Step 3: Use pliers to loosen the clamp holding the orifice hose in place. Once the clamp is removed, disconnect the hose from the gas valve.
Step 4: Clean any surrounding area where the orifice hose attaches. Then apply Pipe Joint Compound to the end of the orifice hose that will connect to the gas valve.
Step 5: Reattach the orifice hose to the gas valve and secure it with the clamp you previously removed. Tighten the clamp with pliers.
Step 6: Make sure the orifice hose is properly connected and replace the back panel.
Step 7: Return the dryer to the wall and plug in the cord. Restore the power to the dryer and test to see if the new orifice hose is working properly.
