DIY: How to Replace the Whirlpool W11025649 Microwave Mounting Plate
1. Gather your tools and materials. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver, a flat-head screwdriver, a small hammer, and a new W11025649 microwave mounting plate.
2. Disconnect the power to the microwave by unplugging the power cord or turning off the breaker at the main electrical panel.
3. Remove the screws holding the old mounting plate in place. For this model, you will find two screws at the top of the microwave and two on the sides.
4. Carefully remove the old mounting plate from the microwave.
5. Place the new mounting plate into the opening. Make sure it is centered.
6. Secure the mounting plate with the screws that you removed in step three.
