W10875909 Whirlpool Timer Knob
This Laundry Appliance Timer Knob is a control knob for laundry appliances. The knob lets you control the cycle settings of your washer or dryer and fits a d-shaped shaft. In order to access the part, can simply pull the old timer knob from the shaft and replace it with the new knob. Using a piece of wire or string and wrapping it around the old knob may help remove it from the shaft. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Replacing the Whirlpool Timer Knob (W10875909)
Before you begin, make sure to have all the necessary tools handy. You will need a screwdriver and the new timer knob.
Step 1: Unplug the power cord to the dryer and shut off the gas supply.
Step 2: Remove the timer knob from the control panel by pulling it outward.
Step 3: Unscrew the nut on the back of the knob with a screwdriver.
Step 4: Insert the new knob into the control panel and attach the nut to the back using your screwdriver.
Step 5: Plug in the power cord to the dryer and turn on the gas supply.
Step 6: Test the knob by turning it to various settings to ensure it is functioning properly.
