This Dishwasher Access Panel, Black covers and shields the wiring and components at the bottom front of the dishwasher. If your current panel is cracked or broken, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. This access panel replaces older two-part panels. Re-use the insulation hardware off the old panel or you can purchase new insulation hardware based on your model number. Installing this part will require basic hand tools and no disassembly or repair experience. 1. Start by unplugging your Whirlpool W10871196 appliance from the wall socket to ensure safety.
2. Open the front panel of the appliance to gain access to the back side of the panel.
3. Remove all screws that are holding down the panel.
4. Carefully lift off the panel and set it aside.
5. Clean up any dirt or debris around the edges of the opening.
6. Place the new panel into the opening and make sure it fits securely.
7. Reattach the screws that were holding down the old panel.
8. Turn the power back on and test the new panel.
9. If everything is working correctly, you have successfully replaced the panel on your Whirlpool W10871196 appliance.
