Instructions on Replacing a Whirlpool W10854240 Timer
1. Make sure to unplug the appliance before beginning any work.
2. Locatethe timer housing and open it up. It should be located behind the front panel of the appliance.
3. Remove the screws holding the old timer in place, being careful not to lose them.
4. Take out the old timer and attach the new one in its place.
5. Put the screws back in and close the timer housing.
6. Plug the appliance back into a wall outlet and test the timer by turning it on.
7. If the timer is working properly, the appliance should function normally. If not, check your connections and the timer’s wiring to make sure everything is secure.
