The Washer Dispenser Drawer Handle, White attaches the the front of the dispenser assembly. To access the part, pull the old drawer out until it stops and then press the release lever to release it. You'll remove the bracket holding the handle to the drawer and then reconnect the new handle with the existing bracket. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. How to Replace a Whirlpool Drawer Handle (W10839403, White)
Replacing a broken or worn-out drawer handle is easy and can be done in just a few steps. Before you begin, make sure you have all the tools and supplies you'll need:
1. Phillips screwdriver
2. Wrench
3. Replacement Whirlpool Drawer Handle (W10839403, White)
Step 1: Open the cabinet. Locate the screws that attach the handle to the drawer. Unscrew them with a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 2: Disconnect any wires connecting the handle to the drawer. Use a wrench if necessary to loosen the wires.
Step 3: Remove the handle from the drawer.
Step 4: Install the new handle. Place the holes on the back of the new handle onto the threaded pins coming from the drawer. Secure the handle with screws tightened with the Phillips screwdriver.
