DIY Replacement of the Whirlpool Dryer Time Knob W10756270
Replacing a Whirlpool dryer knob is easy and can be a cost effective solution instead of replacing the entire unit. This guide will provide simple instructions on how to replace a Whirlpool Dryer Time Knob (Model No. W10756270).
Tools Required:
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- W10756270 Replacement Knob
Instructions:
1. Unplug the dryer from the power source and remove the top of the dryer by unscrewing 2 Phillips-head screws located at the back of the dryer lid.
2. Once the top of the dryer is removed, you will be able to see the time knob.
3. Using a flat head screwdriver, carefully remove the old knob by prying it off from the shaft. Note: Be sure not to damage the shaft when removing the old knob.
4. Take the new replacement knob (W10756270) and attached it onto the shaft.
5. Secure the knob in place by tightening the screw with the Phillips-head screwdriver.
6. Replace the top of the dryer and screws, for safety, plug the dryer back into the power source.
7. Test the knob by setting a timer and make sure it works properly before using the dryer.
