DIY Replacement of the Whirlpool Washer Dryer Drive Motor (W10411000)
1. Unplug your Whirlpool washer/dryer from the electrical outlet and shut off the water supply.
2. Remove the top panel of the washer/dryer by removing the screws on the back-plate of the machine, and then gently pulling the top panel away.
3. Disconnect the wiring harness connected to the drive motor by releasing the locking tabs and sliding the wiring harness off the motor.
4. Remove the drive motor by unscrewing the three mounting screws holding it in place.
5. Insert the new Whirlpool W10411000 drive motor in place and secure it with the three mounting screws.
6. Reconnect the wiring harness to the new drive motor, ensuring to press the locking tabs into place before reconnecting the other end of the harness.
7. Replace the top panel of the washer/dryer by lining up the back-plate screws, and then tightening them in place.
8. Plug your Whirlpool washer/dryer into the wall outlet, and then turn on the water supply.
9. Test the Whirlpool washer/dryer to make sure the new motor is working properly.
